"Bullying"

Bullying is something that occurs every day all over the world. It affects everyone’s life whether they like it or not. The old excuse of “it’s not my problem” has no foundation when it comes to bullying. The best examples of this are the wars caused by the corrupted governments of communism, and military dictatorships. War affects everyone in the world. Most wars are a result of a corrupt government bullying it’s own nation or another nation for personal gain. Let me show you what I mean.

Today we are fighting a “War on Terrorism”, a war that started with the Twin Towers being destroyed by two hijacked planes being flown into them. Along with the destruction of the towers came the deaths of thousands of people. The plane’s hijackers were traced back to a terrorist group led by Osama Bin Laden. While trying to find Bin Laden we found connections from Osama to Saddam Hussein. Saddam Hussein had gained control of a military dictatorship in Iraq. He then unjustly used it to bully around his own people to do whatever he wanted, even kill themselves in suicide bombings. This bullying has affected the whole world as the world tries to end the terrorism that these men have created. In an effort to end this unjust bullying we are sending hundreds of men and women into battle in the Middle East and many have been killed. All of the deaths and all of the fighting are a direct result of bullying.

From 1939 to 1945 we endured WWII. This war came about as Adolf Hitler gained control of the German government. He then used his power to wage an unjust war on Europe. As the war went on, the Japanese, who were allied with Hitler, bombed Pearl Harbor. This bombing forced us to defend ourselves by going to war against Hitler and his allies. We sent thousands and thousands of men into Europe to stop Hitler and the war. We eventually succeeded, but not before losing tens of thousands of men and dropping two nuclear bombs on Japan. Although the United States of America was perfectly justified in going to war, we are still feeling the affects of WWII, a war that resulted from bullying.

Within our own nation we have severe cases of bullying. In our big cities we have gang fights, and drive by shootings. These fights and shootings occur when the gangs feel that someone has trespassed on their perceived territory. Gangs do not own the territory they defend so they are not justified when they go out and start gang wars to defend it. This bullying not only kills the members of the gangs, but also innocent people caught in the crossfire. Now families and friends are devastated because they have lost a loved one to bullying.

As you can see, there is no foundation for the excuse “it’s not my problem”. Bullying is everyone’s problem because war is everyone’s problem. No matter where you go you will be affected by war, and war is always a result of bullying. It is either one nation or group bullying other nations as in WWII and the attack on the Twin Towers, or one nation or group bullying it’s own people as was done in Iraq. Gang wars have the same elements, just on a smaller scale. One person or one act cannot stop bullying. We all need to step out from behind the old excuse of “it’s not my problem” and take a stand to stop bullying when we see it. We all need to realize that it is everyone’s problem and it will take everyone to stop it.
